Born to a European (French) mother and an African (Congolese) father, Ezéchiel N’tsaï (#EzechielViolin) began his musical journey studying classical violin at the National Conservatory of Aix-en-Provence (ages 7 to 14) in southern France.

Although naturally gifted, he felt constrained by the rigid academic approach to music. As a teenager, he chose to explore a freer, more intuitive musical path, teaching himself the guitar and stepping away from the violin and traditional conservatory methods.

Ten years later, after years of dedicated guitar practice, Ezéchiel found renewed fulfillment in music and reconnected with the violin and theoretical studies. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology (Jazz & Improvised Music option) and resumed classical violin training with renowned violinist Igor Ramos in Paris. At the same time, he immersed himself in the world of dance — particularly Street Dance, Hip-Hop, Afro dances, Latin dances & Martial arts.

Today, after years of touring across Europe, South and Central America, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Asia — and after countless collaborations with musicians and dancers — Ezéchiel’s path was profoundly shaped by a transformative encounter with legendary jazz musician Gerry Eastman in New York, who helped him develop his improvisational violin skills. He also trained in dance with members of the world-famous Electric Boogaloos crew (known as Michael Jackson’s teachers, choreographers, and dancers).

Ezéchiel N’tsaï now follows a unique artistic path that transcends genres and styles. His extraordinary ability to improvise on the violin — combined with his expressive dance — allows him to perform in a wide variety of settings: from solo shows to duets, trios, full bands, and collaborations with singers, rappers, and DJs. His performances span clubs, bars, jazz venues, theaters, and concert halls, adapting to all kinds of music — Classical, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Hip-Hop, Latin, Flamenco, Electronic, World music, and more.
